Things you need to know about LAUGHTER.

Laughter is the best medicine and there is some scientific evidence to support them.

A report by scientists at the University of Maryland in 2005, showed that blood flow increased by 22 per cent when participants laughed.

“It’s an injection of happy hormones into your body,” says Amanda Bate, co‑founder of the Laughter Network, who runs laughter sessions in Brighton.

“Your immune system is boosted by up to 40 per cent,” explains laughter therapist Julie Whitehead, whose work includes training staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Prolonged laughter has also been shown to lower blood pressure and improve mental function.

Not only does laughing release endorphins, but it reduces the stress hormones cortisol and epinephrine.

We have forgotten how to laugh, says Mikkelsen. "As adults, we only do it 15 times a day; as children, it’s 300. We need to bring those big belly laughs back into our lives."

So make out time to LAUGH today.

Remember;

"...a GLAD HEART has a continual feast [regardless of the circumstances]." Proverbs 15:15 AMP

A HAPPY HEART is good MEDICINE and a joyful mind causes HEALING, But a broken spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22 AMP

GRATITUDE or GRUMPINESS? You choose...

I once heard that ‘Gratitude ultimately affects our Attitude’. How true…When was the last time you slowed down to reflect on your blessings? Our society is so busy and we get so wrapped up in a day to day activities that we often don’t have enough time to reflect on our blessings. There so many things to be grateful for; the air that we breath, the roof over our head, the water that we drink, the family and friends that surrounds us and the list goes on.

Think about it!

When was the last time you thanked your spouse for paying the rent or for looking after your kids? When was the last time you encouraged a friend? When was the last time you said something nice to your boss or your staff?

Gratitude is good for all of us. Infact, studies shows when you intentionally cultivates GRATITUDE, it increases your happiness, optimism and level of energy. My point is; it makes you feel good too!

Everybody wants to feel good and appreciated. So, let’s unleash the GRATITUDE hunt today!

Are You DISSATISFIED?

Is being dissatisfied in our nature as humans? I guess the answer is obvious...

I was watching a documentary three days ago and I saw a woman with her two children living under an uncompleted building with a mattress on the floor. Barely having enough food to feed her two kids and herself. Infact, they are not just surviving, they are dying slowly. And this made me to start thinking about my life and about people.

Why are we so dissatisfied with life? Why do we complain about small things and make a big deal out of it?

For instance people who live in America, Canada, UK, Australians often complain about minor things like the taste of food, the small apartments, the clothes they wear and the cars they drive etc. While they are people without basic human needs such as food, houses, clothes not to mention the luxury like cars. They are many people that are suffering in war countries (both mothers and their children), many are suffering in villages today barely having enough food to eat or even feed their little children.

Why have we become a generation of dis-satisfactory people? Filled with Ungratefulness, Complaining and whining...?

I understand as human we desire changes in our lives but there is a way to go about it without being ungrateful, envious, complaining or even engaging in a competition with someone else in order to prove something to them.

It's amazes me that as humans beings we are never satisfied with anything. For instance; you see couple with three children (all girls) and instead of being grateful that they are blessed with children, they are rather unsatisfied because they are looking for a male child.

Let me ask you, Are you God? Can you create a finger? You should be grateful because they are tonnes of people praying day and night just to have one child either male or female.

Are you one of those people who are never satisfied with anything? Do you complain about changing your car to the latest one, do you complain about moving from flat to house, do you complain about moving from one country to another, do you complain about your job, do you complain about your husband or your wife, there is always something you are dissatisfied about?

Take a chill pill...:)

The only cure to this hunger of dissatisfaction we are engaged in is to have a life of PURPOSE. What does that mean?

You see, purpose gives you a direction to follow. It's helps you to realise there are better things to do than complain. It's helps you to see that there are many people that are in worst situation than you. And it helps you to appreciate where you are currently and where you are going.

So let's refocus...see from the angle of contentment and gratitude as you make some certain changes in your life without being dissatisfied.

GOD is with YOU...fear no more!

What I am about to share with you today is not new at all, in fact it’s positively old. It’s very simple, yet this one thing completely changed the way i think and pray. It’s coming from my best book ever-the bible.

Am sure you have heard the word IMMANUEL before. Maybe in a song or in a church or during Christmas period. But what does that really mean?  Matthew 1:23 says, "Behold! The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel" (which means, "God with us").

GOD WITH US...think about this for a minute. Does that mean anything to you? What does it mean for your job or business, your family and relationships?

Think about it! GOD is with us. That means he is with you and me - not far away, not in the sky, not tomorrow maybe. He is here with us right now, every moment and in every step we take.

The day i came to the revelation of this word “IMMANUEL”, it totally changed the way i prayed. I no longer say things like “God please be with me” instead i will say “Father, i thank you for you are always with me”, “Even in this hard time, i know you are present with us”.

So no matter what you are facing right now, begin to thank God because he is with you.

Yes...he is!

We get so overwhelmed by the challenges of life and forget that God is always with us even in difficult times. He was with JOSEPH when he was sold to a foreign country (Egypt), he was with DANIEL in the dungeon. He was with shadrach, meshach and abednego in the burning fire.

His words reminds us that when we go THROUGH fire, he is with us. Thank him for being with you in trials and hard times, in good times and in successful times.

And remember whatever you are facing today, tomorrow, next week, next month, in the coming year, you are never alone because he is Immanuel - God with us!
